High technology.
The cultural pessimism of thermonuclear revenge is now coming to an end with high energy laser beams making nuclear-tipped missiles obsolete. To provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare, the national science driver project, also known as the Strategic Defense Initiative (Star Wars), is redefining the useable resource base, and creating a new harmony of interest as thousands of technologies spinoff to support the world’s population.
Anyone who understands the actual history of national science driver projects realizes that we are once again building a new community of industrial principles to promote peace and development. The potential explosive transformation in high technology primary capital goods during the next four to six years will require substantial funding now for our state science administrator Dick Neve to prepare our labor force. Alaska’s future industrial revenue development must begin by creating a laser, robotics, plasma physics institute at the University of Alaska and a laser machine tool training center at Anchorage Community College.
To secure the blessings of liberty and posterity we must support the Strategic Defense Initiative and the energy production systems such as the Susitna project that will be needed to power our future plasma-arc furnaces. No longer can we let the poverty and the bankruptcy of the post-industrial society doctrine destroy our family structure and lockup our God-given creative potentialities.
We must fight off this decline of our civilization so that future generations will inherit the destiny of Alaska continuing to be a beacon of hope and a temple of liberty for all mankind.
