Let’s consider solutions
Now that the political campaigns are over it is time to discuss workable economic solutions to the onrushing world depression:
Extract financial derivatives out of our FDIC insured banking system using the standards set by the 1933 Glass-Steagall Act and the 1936 Commodity Exchange Act.
Create federal, state, municipal and port authority infrastructure and productive capacity bonds to sell to our reformed Federal Reserve.
Enact a 1 percent Wall Street sales tax, with a one million dollar per year per person exemption for small investors to curb high speed gambling by financial cartels and fully fund Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and food stamps.
Tragically these solutions were not discussed during the campaigns but still stand as the economic demands of people who want a good life and a bright future for our nation.
