For over a decade now I have been living 2 to 3 months every year near the primary residences of many international economists in the Metro Manila, Philippine neighborhood of the Asian Development Bank.

I feel like I really fit in with these economists who spend their entire lives trying to figure out how the world really works and living for the purpose of making the world a better place to live.  The knowledge gained by this experience has been life changing for me.
