Technology helps economy.
The U.S. Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) and the European Tactical Defense Initiative (TDI) are now advancing science for national security and economic. development.
The primary role of Alaska’s state government in this program shall be to apply these new scientific discoveries by providing personnel and engineering for the series production and miniaturization of plasma-arc continuous casting steel and ceramic production units in Anchorage and electromagnetic geo-physical research in Fairbanks.
The next step in this process will be to quickly advance the frontiers of optical bio-physics (non-linear spectroscopy) for electro- magnetic radio-frequency weapons and AIDS research.
This continuing research and development effort will help create the SDI and TDI technologies that will do more than begin to eliminate the cultural pessimism associated with Soviet thermonuclear extortion. This type of advancement is one of the keys to unlocking Alaska’s industrial potential, while ensuring the technological progress needed to counter pandemic diseases.
We must come to realize that basic advances in science can be used in either military or civilian applications.
Creating new technology gives birth to both a strong economy and strong national security. Peace means economic development.
